Overdrive Photography consists of two Photographers hailing from Ayrshire in Scotland who have a deep interest in the Scottish live music scene. Our aim is to provide clients such as signed and unsigned bands an affordable service that provides high quality photos. Overdrive use the latest Digital SLR Photography technology, in order to gain maximal control over each photoshoot to ensure every photo is of a high standard.

At Overdrive, we understand that bands and music events have their own musical genre, identity, image, attitude and performance style that they aspire to. Using Digital technology, we aim to provide our clients with professional results that best portray the client. The Overdrive Team

Mark Shannon has been doing photography for the past 5 years and has established himself as a popular artist in his local town where some of his photography work is sold to locals and on display in shops. Mark also has close ties to many of the bands such as Fools Circle, Electric Misstress, Oswald and Placer who are featured here at Overdrive. Mark has an interest in music, with a preference for Indie/rock, but has an open mind when it comes to other genres. Mark shoots using a Canon EOS 5D and a secondary Canon EOS 350D for telephoto shots, using a wide range of quality lenses to produce the best results for the Overdrive portfolio. John Frew has vested an interest in photography for the past 4 years and is an aspiring photographer outside of the live music and band scene. He has a deep interest in the local and Scottish music scene and is a guitarist with the Ayrshire band Electric Misstress. Using his ties with the band, John has an an extensivr list of connections with other bands and live music promotion firms and is particularly well known to the Glasgow band, Oswald. John shoots photos using a Canon EOS 400D incorporating a range of quality lenses which aid in the production of high quality photos.
